About happiness

I asked a firm tree;

Rooted on a mountain slope, 

Unable to move or walk free. 

What does happiness mean? 

"Happines is being a bird. 

Free to boundless flights

Across the yonder land,

Over the dales and hills grand".

        The tree replied. 

I asked a beautiful bird ;

Agile and expert , 

Dodging under the sky inert.

  What does happiness mean?

" Happiness is being a lamb. 

To be among its own herd, 

Grazing through the meadow

Dancing in sun and shadow".

The bird replied

I asked a playful lamb;

Basking in the sunshine, 

Robust, snow- white and fine. 

 What does happiness mean? 

" Happiness is being a kind man. 

With courage and intellect grown;

To be the master of his own, 

Love and kindness beyond limits known".

              The lamb replied.              

Before, I could slap 

Any other question 

The lamb jumped into my lap

Without any fear or hesitation.
