The Egyptian army deals a crushing blow to smuggling and illegal immigration networks.

The Egyptian Armed Forces spokesperson announced widespread security successes, during which border guard forces were able to establish complete control over all strategic directions of the country. These decisive measures aim to consolidate security and stability and protect the nation's resources. The details of these major field operations and the images of those arrested clearly demonstrate the high level of vigilance of the security services in confronting various threats around the clock.

Intensive efforts are underway to combat the smuggling of weapons and various narcotics across the borders.

Security vigilance during the past period resulted in the seizure of thirty-three incidents related to weapons and ammunition, including ninety-six various firearms and three thousand six hundred rounds of ammunition of different calibers. In the field of combating narcotics, the forces succeeded in seizing seventy-nine incidents, in which approximately three hundred and fifty-one tons of narcotics were confiscated, in addition to approximately seven hundred and fifty thousand narcotic pills and five tons of powdered hydroponic narcotics. Furthermore, a number of farms used for the illegal cultivation of narcotics were destroyed to ensure the safety of society.

A decisive confrontation against smuggling of goods and illegal mining of gold ore:

In a related context, the forces succeeded in seizing 168 cases related to goods on which customs duties had not been paid, including nearly 50 tons of petroleum products and more than 500,000 packs of cigarettes. The total value of these various goods was estimated at about one billion Egyptian pounds. Additionally, 58 cases of illegal gold mining were thwarted, and 20 metal detectors, 200 drilling rigs, 118 generators, and about 86 tons of rocks mixed with gold ore were seized.

Foiling infiltration attempts and arresting thousands of individuals in illegal immigration cases:

In the area of border security, the forces seized five hundred vehicles of various types and thwarted one hundred and fifteen attempts at infiltration and illegal immigration, apprehending ninety-nine thousand eight hundred and eighty-six individuals of various nationalities. The total financial value of all seizures was estimated at approximately forty billion Egyptian pounds. All incidents and seizures were referred to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal measures to protect Egyptian national security and strengthen complete control over the country's border crossings and ports.
